So AVID, this house system seemed like such a good idea in the beginning, HOWEVER, some peoples heads are getting a little to big *cough* Atlas? The house system is fun because it is like a little competition but it seems like some people take it a little to serious while some people don't take it serious at all, which is a problem. There needs to be an in between point so that the competition can become fun instead of causing anger because I know when I saw students in my house who were dragging the group down as a whole it highly upset me, how hard is it for you to responsible for yourself. As an AVID scholar and honestly as a student in general you should not need to be babied in order to recieve grades that you need to work hard to attain. I do not want to name any names because that is on the mean side but there is no reason that a student should have so many E's on a report card that it causes them to obtain negative points, if these students would just get their act's together it would allow us to catch up with Atlas and shut them up for a little bit because we are only like 200 points behind them. I also felt really good because I was finally able to get my information to Dona and prove that I have sent out 4 applications and already been accpeted into 3 but I had to prove it and I did so that allowed me to bring my grade up from an E and earn the house some points, even though this is good news I still need to fill out one more application to hit my 5.
